WTCA Chair Mark Pickering invited Greenwich Counsellors Avril Lekau and Olu Babatola and Tom Broad Head of Environmental Services at Peabody on a socially distanced walking tour of West Thamesmead on 11 December last year.
While on the tour Mark pointed out an overgrown path that used to lead down to the canal at the Merbury Road bridge.
It didn't take long at all for Peabody to start tackling the path and clearing the overgrowth. You can see the progress and results in the images here.
Now all we have to do is get the giant concrete block removed and the lighting repaired under the bridge to create safer spaces to enjoy in West Thamesmead.
